Eastwood Farm offers self
catering accommodation in-between Nottingham and Newark. Our
holiday cottage lies in the parish of Epperstone where its elevated
situation allows panoramic views over the Trent Valley and surrounding
lightly-wooded farmland. Our farm near Nottingham, with a
traditionally-built brick and pantiled farmhouse and buildings, is now
in the care of the third generation of our family, as are the seventy
hectares of arable land, which we farm
Epperstone village, half-a-mile down the lane, holds conservation
status; here again traditional buildings are a feature and include a
free-standing 17th century dovecote opposite the Cross Keys public
house. The Garden Festival, held in June, provides a perfect opportunity
to visit a large number of private gardens, browse the stalls and enjoy
a cream tea in idyllic surroundings
We are
ideally placed for Walking, Fishing and Golfing with several Golf
courses within a 10-mile range including Holinwell, Springwater and
Ramsdale Park. Anglers can fish on the River Trent. Cycles can be hired
in Clumber Park and Sherwood Pines Forest Park and there are way-marked
walks on the farm and throughout the county
