Distillery, the smallest distillery in Scotland, and within an hour's
drive you can visit Edinburgh.
With the backcloth of
the Grampian Mountains appearing already in the far distance, visitors
enter the foothills of Highland Perthshire just a few miles north of
Perth. Located in the beautiful Tummel Valley, twenty miles from Perth,
Pitlochry has been famed as a holiday destination since Victorian times,
when the introduction of the railway and Queen Victoria's love of the
Highlands combined to create this distinctively Scottish resort town.

Glenshieling House is
a beautiful Victorian house and is peacefully located in 3-acres of
garden and woodland, with its own secluded car parking area. There are
5 letting bedrooms, a breakfast room, guests’ lounge, conservatory and a
bar for residents. It is a very short distance to a delightful
riverside walk into Blairgowrie and a starting point for the Cateran
Trail.
All of our bedrooms
are ensuite and range from standard doubles, a superior twin and
superior double to a family room that sleeps up to 4. Each room is
equipped with remote-controlled digital, freeview television, tea and
coffee making facilities, a hair dryer and clock radio.
The lounge has an
open fire, which we light on those cold, wintry evenings and is
somewhere to enjoy a pre-dinner drink. You may prefer to choose a
bottle of wine or a drink from our list and enjoy it in the comfort of
your room.
We will happily look
after your river catch in our freezer until you are ready to take it
home. For the cyclists amongst you we can offer secure storage in an
outbuilding and we can provide facilities for those needing to dry
outdoor garb.

the 1850s Burnt Inn House used to be the coach house and stable at The
Trossachs New Hotel, which burnt down in 1864
The hotel had
quite a few famous guests; among them, John Millais and John Ruskin in
1853 and the Prince and Princess of Wales in August 1864. Situated in
the heart of the Trossachs (part of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs
National Park), Burnt Inn House is in the centre of the village of Brig
o’ Turk. The village is very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by lochs,
glens and mountains, six miles from Callander and yet within easy
distance of Stirling, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Perth. If you want to
explore further afield, day trips to Glencoe, Oban, Dundee and St
Andrews are highly recommended |
