Perthshire. The natural beauty of this location is the first delight for
every visitor to St. Fillans, and the position of the Four Seasons,
looking south-west down Loch Earn, is one of the most enviable settings
in Scotland. The views from the hotel are ever-changing throughout the
seasons: fresh new colours of spring, long, light summer's evenings,
spectacular sunsets to the west, morning mists shrouding the loch and
the snow covered Bens.
Originally built in the
early 1800's for the manager of the limekilns, the main house then
became the schoolmaster's house. Converted in the 1900's, it has been
extended over the years to a comfortable hotel with a number of
individual sitting rooms, twelve bedrooms, six chalets and a holiday
apartment.
All our spacious rooms
are ensuite, mostly with bath and shower. Many enjoy uninterrupted views
down Loch Earn. Rooms vary in size, and some can accommodate an extra
bed.
For those who prefer to
be more secluded, there are six chalets on the wooded hillside behind
the hotel; all have a bunkroom, making them ideal for family use.
Enjoy great dog walks
in some of Scotland's finest scenery. Resident pet friendly canines
welcome fellow pets free of change; please see our Pet concierge service
for further details.
We also offer self
catering accommodation in the form of an apartment. This has one double
and one twin room as well as a sitting room and bathroom. You can always

city of Scotland. Visitors to our hotel are close to Loch Tay, the
grandeur of Glenshee, and the awe inspiring Ben Lawers

has much to interest the visitor. The fort of the Celts played a vital
role in the early history of Scotland, both as a Royal and Religious

kingdom of the Picts; Scotland’s first king, Kenneth MacAlpin, built a
stone church here early in the 9th century to house the relics of St
Columba; and under King David I it was the centre of Christianity in all
of Scotland.
As you leave the
hotel, take a stroll down Atholl Street and turn into the old town
centre, the site of the Battle of Dunkeld, stroll on a few yards and
view the Atholl Memorial Fountain, before visiting the magnificent
Dunkeld cathedral
All of this and
so much more can be found at the Royal Dunkeld hotel.
Dunkeld is an
ideal base for many sporting activities, including Salmon Fishing, Trout
Fishing, Walking and Golf.
