Elm Lodge is a
Georgian property, offering self-catering and bed & breakfast
accommodation on the outskirts of Ludlow, Shropshire.
We also have a Par 3
9-hole golf course that is challenging and fun to play, though you don't
need to be a golfer to stay here! Simply sit back and enjoy the
magnificent views over the course to Ludlow and hills of the Welsh
Borders
Our accommodation is
set around a small courtyard in a Georgian home are two self catering
apartments or upto 4 en-suite rooms offering bed and breakfast, all with
independent access, which together will accommodate upto 10 people.
Recently converted yet retaining many of the property's original
features including a wealth of exposed beams, the accommodation has been
tastefully and sympathetically furnished
Ludlow
is surrounded by ideal countryside for walking. Walks from the town lead
out to forests and farmland; the Shropshire Hills are a short bus or car
ride away. Whitcliffe Common, steep and wooded, overlooks the castle and
the river: it contains many short walks, and contains two
internationally recognised gelogical Sites of Special Scientific
Interest. (More details.) Ludlow is at the start of the Mortimer Trail,
a long-distance path to Kington on the Herefordshire/Wales border. A

run touring caravan and camping site. Our quiet 17 pitch site is
situated in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty in the Clun
Valley, with lovely views of the picturesque hills of South Shropshire
and Welsh Marches

village of Aston-on-Clun, with two pubs, shop & garage all in walking
distance. Also, railway station on central Wales line
Old market towns of
Ludlow, Bishops Castle Clun &Church Stretton, all within 15mins. by
car. Shrewsbury, Hereford and Newton are within 25 miles

including Ludlow & Stokesay Castle and Ironbridge Industrial Gorge

walkers including Offas Dyke and Shropshire Way, Longmynd, Bury Ditches

The Cliffe Hotel is situated adjacent to open fields yet only ten
minutes walk from Ludlow Castle and town centre.
There are nine en-suite letting bedrooms all with flat screen TVs, tea
and coffee making facilities and free WiFi access. Restaurant and bar
meals are available. Two local real ales are served in the bar as well
as a selection of popular wines etc.
The hotel has a large car park and is only 10 minutes drive from Ludlow
Golf Course. The River Teme is only a few hundred metres away.The hotel
makes an excellent base for walking holidays. We have facilities for
drying clothes and wet boots and there is also cellar storage for
bicycles.

Mynd House is an
Edwardian house located in the unspoilt hamlet of Little Stretton, at
the foot of the Long Mynd. The house is in a quiet position with views
towards the Ragleth Hill. There are many good quality restaurants and
pubs in the area, some within walking distance of the house and all
offering quality, variety and value.
Mynd House is an
ideal location as a base for golfing holidays being within easy reach of
many outstanding local golf courses in Church Stretton, Ludlow,
Leominster, Shrewsbury, Telford and Bridgnorth. The
course in Church Stretton is only two minutes drive away. We also
provide a secure storage area and drying area which can be used for safe
storage of golf clubs overnight and for any wet outdoor clothing to be
dried off for the next day
We are able to
accommodate larger groups of up to 16 people and have ample space which
can comfortably seat up to 20 people in the lounge and licensed bar. We

Manor Holding,
hidden in the tranquil Forest of Wyre, has a sheltered south facing
garden and ample car parking. Fallow deer frequent its wild flower
meadows and ancient orchards.
We
have a huge range of mostly traffic free walks including local woodland
and rural walks and long distance walks and rides leading to the cottage
door. There are several well stocked fishing ponds nearby as well as
the wonderful Severn and Teme Rivers within easy driving distance.
Fishing licenses for both rivers can be obtained locally in Bewdley.
There is a diverse range of golf courses of varying character within an
easy drive of the cottage, and a wide choice of other activities for the
rest of the family, from Safari Park, through steam trains, historic
castles, and Iron Bridge world heritage site, to world renowned food and
a choice of beverages to match
The cottage is
naturally warm and full of sunlight, enhanced by invisible under floor
heating. Pale terracotta/oak floors add to the old world charm of
crooked timber frame, leaning walls and low ceilings, complete with
inglenook and old stone bread oven. It has been restored using earth
daub, lime plaster and green oak
